This new Perfect Dark has its own story, and while the developers talk about being inspired by the past, they also say they don’t want to use it “too much” as they bring Perfect Dark into the modern day. So, is this a reboot? A remaster? A sequel? A prequel? It appears then that Perfect Dark will have something to say about climate change, which will hopefully add some nuance to the campaign's setting. The logo on the roof reveals this building to be dataDyne HQ. As the trailer ends, Joanna Dark has just cleared out (read: killed everyone inside) one of these green corps, and stands on the roof of the building, staring out as a lightning storm rages in the distance. In the trailer, we see a very lush, bountiful city in bloom, but also see parts of Earth ravaged by fires and destruction. The game is going to be an “eco sci fi,” where corporations (like dataDyne) have made the planet much greener and cleaner, but at a cost. #Perfect dark switch series#We know the central character Joanna Dark-more on her below-is back too, so it makes sense that it’s following on from where the series left off. This new Perfect Dark is described as being set in the “near future,” so it takes place a little while after the last games, but not too long. The sequel, Perfect Dark Zero, was actually a prequel, so it’s the original Perfect Dark that will act as the jumping off point. As part of the story, you end up getting taken to the bad aliens' planet (the Skedar), where you defeat their leader, then fly away in a spaceship back to Earth. DataDyne want to use the alien tech for general early ‘00s evilness, and you have to stop them while working for Carrington. The alien war is actually secondary to the main plot, which is the battle between Carrington Institute (good guys) and dataDyne (bad guys). Yes, exactly like Transformers, although I promise you it was less silly about the whole thing. In the example site above, Palette 1 is the light color palette and Palette 2 is the dark color palette. The first game was set in 2023 and revolved around two alien races using Earth as a battleground. Now to make the switch work you need to set up your “dark” color palette under General > Colors in the customizer. To use those switches just go to the header builder or footer builder and add the color switch element. Please note you can also add a switch in the header builder or footer builder if you don’t want it to be fixed on the screen. Once enabled you can choose to add a fixed switch to your site. Once you have the Color Palette Switch enabled you will find new settings under Appearance > Customize > General > Color Switch (Dark Mode). To get started you will need to enable the module under Appearance > Kadence in the WordPress admin. The intention of this tool is to be light and work tightly with the Kadence Global colors. There are robust dark mode plugin solutions that will work with Kadence if you are wanting to make a dark mode for a really complex site, however, these can come with a performance hit. Because of that, this tool does not generate dark mode CSS and it may not work out of the box with many plugins or complex sites. The approach we took with Kadence was to provide a lightweight option to have a dark mode. #Perfect dark switch pro#As of Kadence Pro version 1.0.3, there are options to enable a color switch for your users to select a “dark mode” of your website.
